Strathclyde's biennial Enterprise Challenge aims to find, support and celebrate pre-start and early-stage entrepreneurs.
The Enterprise Challenge 2011 had four categories:
- Brightest Young Business
- Rising Star
- InterPrize
- Best Academic Commercialisation Challenge

2009's Enterprise Challenge was split into three categories. Applicants with new business ideas were invited to take part in the Creation Challenge, while the Growth Challenge catered for micro-businesses looking to use e-commerce to expand their operations. Strathclyde Supernovas, which took place in 2007, was split into two categories – Brightest Young Business and Most Dazzling New Product Idea.
