Business Evaluation Meeting
Every new client is invited to a Business Evaluation Meeting with our Enterprise Advisor. You will be asked to give a short pitch on your business idea and submit a one page description.
Business Creation Workshop
Following your Business Evaluation Meeting, you may be invited to our Business Creation Workshop. The Workshop is designed to help you develop or strengthen your business plan. They are interactive sessions with exercises that will require you to really think about your business idea.
Evaluation of Business Plan
You will be given a deadline by which you should submit your first draft business plan. Our Enterprise Advisor will provide you with bespoke advice and advise if your business plan requires any re-working.
Strathclyders into Business Fund
When you have a solid business plan and are ready to take your business forward, you may be invited to pitch for start up funding. This consists of a short presentation and a question and answer session with the panel. You will be given a pre-panel preparation meeting in advance of your panel date.

Monthly e-bulletin for pre-start companies
Registered clients receive a monthly e-bulletin with information on competitions, upcoming events and more.
Technology-based business opportunities that are viewed as high growth potential will be given access to a programme of high level support. Please note that the decision to support an opportunity at this level will be based on a number of factors including commercial viability, likelihood of success and projected turnover.
Dedicated Start-Up Support
Business opportunities will have access to a dedicated Enterprise Advisor.
Business opportunities based on University-owned IP will be provided with specialist support from the University's Business Development Team. See support available.
Mentor Programme
Where appropriate, clients will be matched with an experienced mentor from the University’s pool of Enterprise Partners – experienced alumni entrepreneurs keen to support the next generation of Strathclyde entrepreneurs.

Commercialisation Champions Programme
On occasion a Commercialisation Champion will be brought in to work on a specific aspect of the business proposition such as the market report, the marketing strategy or the commercialisation report.
Strathclyde 100
An opportunity to present the business opportunity and specific strategic asks to an audience of experienced alumni entrepreneurs, industry experts and targeted invitees with a view to progressing the business opportunity.
RSE SE Enterprise Fellowships
One-to-one advice and support with applications to this programme which supports entrepreneurs interested in commercialising their science or technology-based business idea.
