Shaping the future. Strategic plan 2011 - 2015

Students are at the heart of our University. With well over 16,000 students from across the globe, Strathclyde has established itself as a vibrant and dynamic centre for useful learning, educating students to be of benefit to society.

The University of Strathclyde is a centre of innovation, committed to solving the problems of tomorrow, creating knowledge and expertise to share across the world. Education is a central part of this: our strategic plan outlines our commitment to improving the experience for all of our students by delivering a modern, exciting and globally relevant curriculum and encouraging a broad base of students from home and overseas. We ensure that our research and knowledge exchange inform our teaching, and we are investing in our estate to create a digital campus. To help our students develop the skills, knowledge and technologies required to be of benefit to society, we look for innovative and creative ways of learning and create opportunities for students to collaborate across Faculties and with our partners in business, industry and the public sector. Our students are encouraged to get involved – through international experiences, work placements, voluntary activities, sports and social activities.
