PART-TIME AND DISTANCE LEARNING STUDENTS
SAAS PART-TIME FEE GRANT
In August 2012 the Cabinet Secretary announced changes to student support arrangements for 2013-14 including revised tuition fee arrangements for low income part-time students. From 2013-14 the HE part-time fee grant budget administered by the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) will include the budget previously administered by SFC. In October 2012 SAAS announced to the sector the details of their extended HE part-time fee grant. It should therefore be noted that 2012-13 was the final year of the SFC fee waiver scheme.

Applications are now available to download from SAAS website for part-time undergraduate courses starting between 1 August 2013 and 31 July 2014.
Applications must be with SAAS no later than three months after the course starts.

Completed applications should be sent to the Student Financial Support Team to complete Section E and check over the application.
