Studying

main content

Financing your education can be a challenge, but there's a range of options on offer to help - including student loans and sponsorships. Our Student Finance Office can also give you advice on other kinds of financial support - like accessing help with childcare costs.

Help with tuition fees

Depending on where you live and your circumstances, you may be able to get some help with your tuition fees. You can find out more about this at www.dfes.gov.uk/studentsupport.

Student loans

Many undergraduates take advantage of the national Student Loan System to help meet their living expenses. These loans are interest-free and you only need to repay the money when you have finished your studies and are earning above a certain salary. Find out more

Scholarships

We offer a range of scholarships and bursaries for students who show academic merit. Take a look at what's on offer - if you'd like to apply, why not come along to a briefing?

Part-time work

You may want to get a job while you are at university - our Getting the right work experience can help, or you can search on websites like http://www.s1jobs.com/.

Other financial support

The Student Finance Office is on hand to offer you guidance and to help with your money questions on anything from childcare costs to emergency loans and social security. You can call them on 0141 548 2753. They'll be there to help after you start university too.
