BP is one of the largest global oil and gas producers. The aim of BP scholarships are to recognise, reward and support academic excellence, and develop the next generation of engineering talent.

Only nine UK universities participate in their prestigious Scholarship Scheme with Strathclyde being the only Scottish member.

Two types of scholarship opportunities are offered.

  • Value Up to £20,000
  • Opens 1 October 2016
  • Deadline 25 November 2016
  • Help with Equipment and study costs
  • Duration Annual award of £5,000 for duration of course (max. of 4 years)

Eligibility

Students in their second year students studying on selected MEng programmes in the Departments of

  • Chemical & Process Engineering
  • Civil & Environmental Engineering
  • Electronic & Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering
  • Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering

Further Information

Students are eligible to apply from second year and are funded from years 2-5.

The scholarship is £5,000 per year, but students must maintain a 2.1 average for the duration of their studies and failure to do so could result in the scholarship being terminated.

Recipients of this scholarship are not permitted to hold, or apply for, any other company-supported scholarships.
