The Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Strathclyde offers students the opportunity to study for a PhD with competitive support, and welcomes all applicants both home/EU and international.

By introducing Colin Grant Global Excellence Awards, the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering aims to support its PhD students’ excellence in Chemical Engineering field.

Eligibility

  • A candidate must hold a first degree of at least second upper class Honours standard, in a relevant subject, commence their studies within the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering by 1st October 2016

Having joined Strathclyde as an undergraduate student, Colin Grant successfully completed his doctoral studies within the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, eventually becoming Head of Department and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.A powerful advocate of Strathclyde, Chemical Engineering research and the provision of excellent teaching and training, Colin embodied the ethos that the Department still holds core today.
