The Summer Academy @ Strathclyde ran from 1999-2010 at the Jordanhill Campus of the University of Strathclyde. The unique ten-day experience was tailored for 15 year olds, from diverse backgrounds, with the potential to enter Further or Higher Education but required additional support and motivation to achieve the necessary grades. A series of interactive, dynamic curriculum challenges, distinctive and progressive, ensured the young people were driven to complete the increasingly demanding activities. Participants developed a more positive attitude to education and realised that applications to College and University are an achievable reality.
