There's a regular bus service running between the two campuses during term-time, and a limited service during August and the 2nd/3rd weeks of June. Students and staff can use the bus free of charge, just by showing their ID card.
Main (term-time) bus service
The main bus service makes 5 round journeys each day, Monday to Friday, between the John Anderson and Jordanhill campuses. This service begins in term-time (27th September 2011). See Timetable 1.
Limited bus service
For students and staff who will be on campus during the holidays, there is also a limited shuttle service from 22rd August 2011, with the bus making two journeys a day (one each way) Monday to Friday. See Timetable 2.
The route
The bus runs from George Street outside the Royal College building to the lower road adjacent to the playing fields in front of the David Stow Building of the Jordanhill Campus stopping at two other points in the John Anderson Campus. The average journey time is approximately 25 minutes but this depends on traffic conditions in the city, which can vary a great deal - particularly at peak times.
If you have any questions about the service, please get in touch with Purchasing, by emailing purchasing@strath.ac.uk
The service is operated by Doigs of Glasgow under a contract negotiated and managed by University Purchasing Services.
