Digital EducationSkills & training

We’re committed to enhancing and supporting skills development that helps staff create and deliver an exceptional learning and teaching experience. Through a wide portfolio of training courses, we offer training and guidance for teaching staff to enhance digital education design and delivery. We also provide support to develop the practical and technical skills required to create and deliver online classes.

Working in partnership with the Organisational Staff Development Unit (OSDU), we teach on Strathclyde’s SPARK Programme through the provision of TALON 2 (Teaching and Learning Online) module in the PgCert Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.

TALON

TALON is our flagship course for staff wishing to learn and develop skills in digital education. The course puts teaching staff at the very heart of the online learning experience and provides an opportunity for participants to consider pedagogical issues and challenges and discover creative and innovative ways of teaching online. TALON can be completed as a standalone course (Part 1) to gain experience in teaching online, as part of the PG Certificate in Advanced Academic Studies (Parts 1 and 2).
