Additional support for learning

We have a lot of support for students who may require additional support for learning here in the Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry.

Disabled access

We're based in the Thomas Graham Building. Disabled access to the building is either through the entrance 50m east of the main entrance on Cathedral Street, or through the adjoining James Weir Building which you can access from Montrose Street.

If you need any more information, or are visiting the University and would like to make further arrangements, just get in touch with Dr Aaron Lau, our disability contact. You can also contact the University's Disability Services.

Beginning your studies

If you have any additional support for learning needs, we recommend you have a meeting with a representative from the Disability Service when you begin.

This gives us the chance to make any necessary arrangements for things like examinations and assessments (eg additional time, the aid of a scribe and /or reader, the aid of an assistant for practical work).

Throughout the year

There's a lot of support from the wider University throughout the year.

Get in touch with our disability service to find out more.
