AlumniUK (Glasgow)

Looking back on your time at Strathclyde, we’re sure you have many memories of learning, experiences, friendships and a sense of belonging to the University.

We want those memories to continue as your life after Strathclyde begins. Strathclyde has a large alumni population in Scotland and we want to work with you to strengthen our activities and engagement. We already have a global network of alumni groups, run by volunteers who organise events and activity to stay in touch with each other and the University.

As we launch our brand new Strathclyders in Scotland initiative, we’re looking to showcase five initial groups of Strathclyders who can be ambassadors to drive forward the following areas of activity:

1) Straight out of Strathclyde or looking for an opportunity to connect and network on a professional level with like-minded alumni?

Then meet-ups for recent graduates/professional networking is for you!

2) Established in your career and looking to reconnect with fellow alumni through local activity?

Then our event series featuring political debates, topical speakers and focused reunions might be for you!

3) Established in your career and looking to help shape and support the future of our latest Strathclyders?

Then meet-ups for established alumni/professional networking is for you!

4)Interested in graduation activity and would like the opportunity to take part in the academic procession?

Our graduation ceremonies happen twice a year and your involvement/engagement in these as alumni would be most appreciated.

5) Interested in speaking to prospective students about your time at Strathclyde and helping us recruit new students?

Then you could help our Recruitment and International Office at recruitment events such as Open Days and Applicant Days.

6) Interested in more than one of the categories above?

We’d love to hear from you!

This is an initiative our Principal and Vice Chancellor – Professor Sir Jim McDonald, is hugely supportive of and he is keen to meet key volunteers.

Please contact for more information and the opportunity to connect with the Alumni and Development team.

Whether you’ve recently graduated or you’re a more mature graduate, please get in touch. Your experiences, knowledge and opinions will help to shape Strathclyders in Scotland – we can’t do it without you!
