Strathclyder Adam Gordon joined the Recruitment Industry on leaving University before moving to International Marketing Group Havas. There, he specialised in Recruitment Marketing and Communications, and studied for the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Professional Postgraduate Diploma, building on his studies at Strathclyde.

This experience led him to global professional services firm PwC, where he worked in the HR Consulting business before beginning his entrepreneurial career in 2009, founding recruitment research business Social Media Search, taking this into a joint venture with Norman Broadbent plc from 2012 until 2016.

In late 2016, Adam launched Candidate.ID as co-founder and CEO. Candidate.ID aims to enhance the way organisations recruit globally and in two short years, has brought in customers including IBM, IQVIA, L'Oréal, Specsavers and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

They won the Recruitment Tech Start-Up Competitions at major industry events, Unleash in Amsterdam in October 2018 and Hiring Success in San Francisco in March 2019. Now employing 23 people, the company aims to open an office in New York towards the end of 2019.
