Who we work with

We've worked with companies such as Babcock, Weir, Iberdrola, William Grant & Sons and many more companies across industry sectors, including financial services, engineering and hospitality.

Babcock International Group

We have a long and fruitful relationship with Babcock and we launched the Babcock MBA, an MBA specifically tailored to the company, in September 2013. The bespoke three year corporate MBA programme is for individuals specifically identified by Babcock as part of their long-term succession planning. Participants have come from the UK, South Africa and Germany.

We've also introduced the Babcock Lead and Drive programmes which offer more applied ways of learning for the Babcock senior staff and departmental managers, narrowing the gap between learning and development and management practices.

The Weir Group

The Weir Business Management Programme was first offered in 2012, and offers a postgraduate certificate in management for Weir managers globally – from across Europe to Russia, Canada, India, South America, Asia and Australia – providing them with the required management skills and knowledge to succeed within the Group.

Participants work towards the completion of a postgraduate certificate in management studies through modules including operations management, commercial law and innovation. As well as the academic benefits, the programme promotes greater networking and global collaboration by bringing together a team of people from a mix of divisions, regions and functional backgrounds, who complete the programme together. In 2014, around 40 managers took part in the programme, with over 120 managers taking part since the programme was launched.

Participants of the Weir Business Management Programme have the opportunity to obtain a full Masters in Business Administration (MBA) qualification. In 2014, 24 'graduates' of the Weir Business Management Programme started their Weir MBA journey with an expected finish in the summer of 2016 when a second group of managers will begin the Weir MBA.

Iberdrola

A new collaboration between Iberdrola and Strathclyde began in 2013, with the launch of the Iberdrola MBA in the Global Energy Industry. The two and a half year part-time degree programme delivered with Comillas University in Madrid focuses on the global energy industry. Participants with managerial potential from the UK, Spain, USA, Mexico and Brazil have all taken part. Course subject matter ranges from leadership, international business, project management and strategy and combines MBA teaching within an energy-sector specific curriculum.

The programme was constructed to provide employees with the training they need to meet the challenges, and opportunities, that the global energy industry faces at a global scale.

William Grant & Sons

MBA 25
Creating Global Pioneers The MBA25 programme was launched in 2011 aimed at creating global leaders of the future. Led by William Grant & Sons, Other handpicked companies such as Alliance Trust, Craneware and Wolfson Microelectronics were invited on the programme, as well as some individuals and not-for-profit organisations.

Three distinctive new electives in luxury brand marketing, entrepreneurship and family owned businesses, were created for the MBA 25, which also has a strong focus on leadership and innovation. All were developed in association with William Grant, which also assisted with scenarios and data for case studies.

The programme introduces an international dimension with partnerships with the Stockholm School of Economics, where family-run enterprise is taught, and Ca' Foscari University of Venice for sessions on the Italian approach to luxury brand management.
