Strathclyde Institute for Sustainable CommunitiesAbout Us

About Us

The Strathclyde Institute for Sustainable Communities (SISC) forms a centre for interdisciplinary research excellence that will explore innovative place-based and community-led solutions for sustainability across Scotland and beyond. The cross-faculty institute places a spotlight on the many important roles and experiences of communities at different scales; offering a broader understanding of how to support delivery of a sustainable and fair future.

SISC has a core team from across SBS and Engineering. SISC activities are supported by SISC Associates from across the University, and guided by an Advisory Board.
