Strathclyde Business School Undergraduate

David Brunger

BA (Honours) Economics

Economics is a course which keeps your options open. It’s worthwhile taking time to decide which classes to specialise in as skills in economics are in demand across many business-related areas.

In the summer before my Honours year, I was a Business Analyst intern with a large clothing retailer. This was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the analytical and presentation skills that I had developed during the course.

Outside of studying, I hold the position of head of sponsorship for the Strathclyde Tennis Club. Through this role, I have brokered a £1,000 corporate sponsorship deal for the club. I would not only recommend the tennis club (lots of great folk in the club) but it’s also good to take on a position of responsibility in whatever sport or activity you are interested in.
