At Strathclyde, we offer the perfect location and venue to host your event. Our new Technology & Innovation Centre boasts some of the most modern, flexible conferencing facilities in the city. The Victorian grandeur of the Barony Hall offers a beautiful contrast – a stunning backdrop for a variety of events, including gala dinners, evening receptions and weddings.
We're based in the heart of Glasgow city centre.
The University is a hop, skip and a jump from George Square, the Merchant City and Buchanan Street, one of the UK's top shopping destinations. We're a 15-minute walk from Glasgow Central Station and five minutes from Queen Street Station. The University is situated close to Glasgow Cathedral, the birthplace of the city, and the fascinating Glasgow Necropolis, which offers some of the most stunning views of our city.
We've invested £11m in the conferencing facilities within our Technology & Innovation Centre. We can host up to 600 delegates in this brand new building, which contains two auditoria and ten conference rooms, as well as flexible foyer spaces ideal for catering, exhibitions and networking. The £89-million building is the jewel in the crown of our city-centre campus.
Excellent transport links
In addition to being a short walk from Glasgow's two major train stations, the University is easily accessible by bus and has parking facilities for those who are here for a shorter stay. For those who are travelling from afar, the University is easily reached from Glasgow Airport, which runs a shuttle-bus service to the city centre.
