CoronavirusStaff update 14 September 2021

Dear colleagues,

I hope this finds you and yours well as we move into our new Academic Year.

As the Principal has outlined throughout the pandemic, the health, safety and wellbeing of our University community is of paramount importance and is at the heart of all our decision-making.

With cases of COVID-19 in Glasgow and Scotland remaining high, we have taken the decision to update our guidance on the use of face coverings on campus to help keep our staff, students and visitors safe.

Please take time to read the new guidance, which has been published today (Tuesday 14 September), particularly if you are on campus or planning to visit soon.

It makes clear that face coverings should be worn in indoor learning and teaching spaces, in shared offices, and at meetings, regardless of physical distance.

By adhering to – and going above and beyond – the Scottish Government’s Beyond Level Zero Guidance, we will all be playing our part in suppressing the virus and helping to protect each other. As a reminder, you can find all of our campus guidance, including information on physical distancing and our ventilation position statement, on our website.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and wishing you a safe and happy semester.

Best wishes,
Veena
