CoronavirusStudent update: 17 June

Dear Strathclyde student,

We have all endured a period of unprecedented disruption to daily life, unlike anything experienced in recent times. I would like to thank you for the tremendous resilience and focus you have shown over the last few months under intense pressure and uncertainty.

I understand you will have many questions on how your studies will be shaped and delivered in the coming academic year. We want to address this uncertainty directly so that we can provide you with clarity on what this will mean for your study with us, as well as your wider student experience as part of the Strathclyde community.

I hope that the Strathclyde Student Pledge from us, to you, provides you with detail and reassurance regarding our preparations for the new academic year, commencing in September 2020. These preparations will include the learning experience you will have, and the measures we will have in place to ensure your health, safety and wellbeing at all times in parallel with a wonderful Strathclyde education.

Please be assured that the entire Strathclyde community is fully committed to ensuring and delivering to you the highest quality learning and student experience and my colleagues and I are very much looking forward to welcoming you on campus in the near future.

Professor Sir Jim McDonald,
Principal & Vice Chancellor
