Clinical Health Psychology: placement information

In order for you to be able to undertake a placement, you need to apply for and be granted clearance to work with vulnerable groups through the Governments’ Disclosure system. You'll complete the application form when you arrive at Strathclyde and we'll provide help with this. Please note the following circumstances:

If you have not lived in the UK for a period of five years then you need a Certificate of Good Conduct/Police Certificate from the Police force in the country where you have lived.  You need this from each country you have lived in for the previous five years. You need to bring this Certificate of Good Conduct/Police Certificate with you. If you don't bring this documentation you won't be able to undertake a placement because you'll not be cleared to work with vulnerable groups.

If you're living in the UK but have been out of the country for a period of three months or more within the last five years, you also need a Certificate of Good Conduct/Police Certificate from the country you visited. You need to bring this Certificate of Good Conduct/Police Certificate with you. If you don't bring this documentation, you won't be able to undertake a placement because you will not be cleared to work with vulnerable groups.
