Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine EngineeringE-Buddy Mentoring Programme

E-Buddy – a mentoring program for International applicants by current students

The E-buddies scheme is designed to allow potential students the opportunity to learn more about the department before committing to enrol. The scheme matches you to a current student and allows you to make enquires, ask questions, and get to know us here at the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering.

Main objective

  • bridging the gap between potential students and current students
  • pass on experience and knowledge about the programmes offered in the Department
  • Allow potential students the opportunity to gain a student perspective
  • Allows for students to have an open and candid conversation about the student experience

How does it work?

The E-Buddy programme offers applicants to The Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering the chance to discuss the programme with a current PhD candidate. This scheme offers applicants the chance to learn a bit more about the department from the perspective of a student or researcher.

We encourage all applicants to participate in this scheme and to ask any questions you might have when your E-buddy has been assigned.

To participate please register by clicking the 'Register now' button on the right hand side of this page.  You will be matched to a participating PhD Candidate and they will contact you directly to introduce themselves.

Any questions about the E-buddies scheme can be directed to the departmental Recruitment Officer Alexander Cahoon by emailing alexander.cahoon@strath.ac.uk.
