Egyptian student Yousseff had just completed a degree in Construction Project Management when he decided to pursue further study at Strathclyde.
What inspired you to apply to Strathclyde?
The course description on the website grabbed my attention as the course includes many parts of the Construction Law as it covers dispute resolution. Contracts and Arbitration which are everything that interests me. Also the reputation of the university about the diversity of Students as well as the Humanities Faculty Reputation in Research.
What was it about the course that motivated you to apply for it?
While carrying out my placement year, the only department that interested me was Contracts and Claims. After a lot of research, I thought about the career I would like to pursue and the University of Strathclyde offers many courses such as Arbitration, Contracts and Dispute Resolution and these courses will definitely help my career.
What have you enjoyed the most so far about your time in Scotland/ Strathclyde?
I enjoy hiking and climbing and Scotland has many places where I can hike and climb. The views of the Highlands are amazing. I also enjoy the diversity at Strathclyde and the many activities that the university carries out for us students to meet other students and not to just study and do work, but also to enjoy our time during our studies.
What are your ambitions for the future? How do hope your time at Strathclyde will help you achieve your goals?
My ambition for the future is to become a Construction Adjudicator and Strathclyde provides the courses that will put me on the right track.
