Leading Learning & Transformative Practice in Colleges (with TQFE)

Join us at the virtual launch of our new, transformative and innovative teaching qualification for College lecturers available from 2022/23

 About this event 

The School of Education at the University of Strathclyde is delighted to announce the introduction of a new teaching qualification for College lecturers* . The programme will be 100% online and uniquely, can be undertaken over 9 or 21 months. The first intake is planned for August 2022.

 Our new programme: 

  • Is socially progressive with an explicit focus on teaching in Colleges as a means of making a positive difference to society
  • Is student-centred with a clear focus on context-relevant learning and active participation
  • Models a transformative learning pedagogical approach for and with students
  • Uses (student-led) professionally authentic assessment approaches (including professional enquiry and viva)
  • Positions the TQFE as part of an ongoing learning journey for College lecturers
