The Society for the Social History of Medicine periodically hosts an international conference for postgraduate students. In 2017, the Society will be holding its postgraduate conference in Shanghai, China, bringing together presentations on the theme of ‘Health Histories: The Next Generation.’
The Programme Committee had a remarkable response to its call for papers and we are now pleased to release further details about this event.

Accommodation and Conference Venue
The conference will be held at the New Lehu Hotel (乐乎新楼).
Accommodation for all participants has been booked at the same hotel. The address is :
Shanghai University (North Gate)
716 Jinqiu Rd
From Hongqiao Airport (虹桥机场）
Take metro line 10 from the airport station to Hongqiao Rd. Station (虹桥路站).
Transfer to metro line 3/4 and make a second transfer at Zhenping Rd. Station (镇坪路) to metro line 7.
The New Lehu Hotel is just near exit 2 of Shanghai University Station (上海大学站). The whole metro trip takes about 1 hour.
From Pudong Airport (浦东机场)
Take metro line 2 to Jingan Temple Station (静安寺站).
Transfer to metro line 7
The New Lehu Hotel is just near exit 2 of Shanghai University Station (上海大学站). The whole metro trip takes about 2 hours.
To find the Hotel, come across the school gate (North Gate), and turn left when at the bridge. The Hotel is just 100 metres away.
The taxi fare is about 80 yuan from Hongqiao Airport and 250 yuan from Pudong Airport.
