Dr Beth Weaver wins international Criminology book prize

The School of Social Work and Social Policy is delighted to announce that Dr Beth Weaver has won the British Society of Criminology Book of the Year Award for her book Offending and Desistance: The Importance of Social Relations, Routledge.  

Beth shares the 2016 award with Dr Alistair Fraser of the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research who also won the award for his book, Urban Legends: Gang Identity in the Post-Industrial City. The British Society of Criminology Book of the Year is awarded to books that are outstanding, international and original.
