European post for HaSS Head of Internationalisation

The Head of Internationalisation with Strathclyde's Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences has been elected to a senior post with the European Association for International Education (EAIE).

Michelle Stewart has been chosen as Vice-President of EAIE after six years of activity in the Association.

For the past two years, she has chaired the Programme Committee for EAIE’s Conference, Europe’s largest international higher education exhibition. 

Michelle has 25 years’ experience in internationalisation and will hold the post of Vice-President until 2020.

She said: “I am delighted to take on this role and hope to contribute as broadly as possible to the EAIE.

“I will be using all my internationalisation experience and networks to develop the important work of the Association.”

Strathclyde is an international university with a student and staff population drawn from more than 100 nations. The University’s MBA programme has bases in seven countries outside the UK.

EAIE is driven by a global team of dedicated experts in the field of international higher education who volunteer their time and expertise to lead the Association. The leadership is elected by the member community every two years.
