Working with the Careers Service in 2020/21
Due to the ongoing situation around Covid-19, the 2020-21 academic year at Strathclyde looks quite different. For the most up to date information please visit the University website.
During this period, the Careers Service will be offering you the opportunity to connect virtually with our students and graduates.
There is a variety of ways for you to raise your profile. We have listed some of these below:-
Register with our online vacancy portal CareerHub Strathclyde to post your vacancies to us free of charge. Student and graduate jobseekers can "follow" your organisation so that your vacancy appears first when they login to search for vacancies.
Careers Fairs continue to be one of the most popular ways to connect with students. We aim to run all of our Campus Fairs later in 2021, however, as restrictions remain in place we are unable to confirm whether these will be virtual or physical. Keep checking this page for the latest information.
If you would like to hold a presentation/webinar using your own platform we would be happy to assist you in promoting your event to students via our MyCareer events system.
We would need the following details: title of event, description of your organisation and the purpose of the presentation/webinar, target audience (eg course, year group), start time and end time of event, weblink for further details, details of whether prior registration is required to attend, closing date for registration (if there is one). Details of your online presentation/webinar should be sent to: firstname.lastname@example.org
We recommend that you contact us with the dates and times you are proposing to host your presentation so that we can check that it doesn't clash with other events.
Online Skills Session
Many employers offer skills sessions for students covering a wide variety of topics. These events are a great way to raise awareness of your organisation with students.
If you are happy to run a skills session on your own platform please contact us. We would need the following details: title of skills session including brief description and outcomes for participants, target audience (eg course, year group), start time and end time of event, weblink to register for the skill session, closing date for registration (if there is one), brief description of your organisation. Details of your skills session should be sent to: email@example.com
We recommend that you contact us with the dates and times you are proposing to host your skills session so that we can check that it doesn't clash with other events.
If you would like to arrange a general chat or to discuss any of the above services in more detail, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
