Web Room Bookings Facility

To make ad-hoc bookings click on Web Room Bookings 2017-2018.  Booking confrmations will be subject to timetabling publication dates, as detailed on the login page.

The web room bookings facility works best when you are using Internet Explorer. An online Tutorial video is available at the bottom of the screen for first time users.

As well as making a booking online you are also able to View and Cancel your own bookings using the facility's My Bookings tab options.

Please note that all requests submitted to the Timetabling and Room Booking section will still be provisional until you receive an email advising that they are confirmed. In order to minimise email correspondence, please include as much detail as possible about your booking in the description as well as familiarize yourself with Internal Booking policy details.

Students do not have access to the Web Room Bookings facility and Room Bookings are unable to take their requests. If a student wishes to book a room this has to be done by their department or the Students' Union.

If you are making a booking for an event that involves students attending, i.e teaching activities or class meetings, please note that students do not have access to the Collins building.

Booking of External Spaces at Strathclyde University

The following details the process for booking all Grounds and Gardens areas on John Anderson campus.

Staff, students or external customers wishing to book out a Grounds and Gardens area either for filming or other activities should first complete a Grounds & Gardens Booking Form and return it by email to estates.helpdesk@strath.ac.uk, or by post to:

Estates Helpdesk
University of Strathclyde
Estates Services Department
181 St James Road
Glasgow
G4 0NT

NB Applicants must sign and return our Conditions of Let and contract before any booking will be confirmed.

The standard day rate for booking an external space for an event is £2500. This applies to external organisations only. There will be no charge for student/University organised events.

Large open areas such as Rottenrow gardens can be booked as a single space only and cannot be booked out on a section by section basis.

If the event for which space is being requested is a major undertaking (e.g. Open Days, Freshers’ week, external filming shoots lasting more than an hour) then a 6 week notification period is required. We will endeavour to approve all applications as quickly as possible but this will be dependent on the response of the applicant to any request on our part for further detailed information relating to the event.

All internal and external applicants wishing to book out grounds or gardens areas on campus should refer to the following as appropriate to their request:
