Within the Organisational & Staff Development Unit, Human Resources there is a team dedicated to supporting the development of research staff. The following web pages outline key initiatives which will help research staff get the most out of their development. We work closely with the Researcher Development Programme Team in RKES to provide a comprehensive range of development opportunities.
A range of development opportunities for Research Staff (Research Assistants, Research Associates and Research Fellows) are available to support your current role and future career.

More Information
The Researchers' Group is a group of Research Staff (Research Assistants, Associates and Fellows) focussing on:
- promoting cross-faculty events and training for research staff at all career stages
- bringing clarity between research staff, associated academic staff, and principal investigators
- communicating the interests, successes and constraints of the research community
- establishing researchers-supporting-researchers frameworks
- sharing good practice via surgeries in each faculty
The Research Induction Framework is a structured induction plan that supports the role of Research Staff in the early weeks and months of their employment with the University, helping them settle into their new role and responsibilities, giving them key information and pointing them in the direction of sources of support. For more detailed information visit Researcher Induction
These pages are dedicated to providing information to support research staff that may be coming towards the end of their contract (or are on a continuing contract). By being pro-active and starting to plan your future destination now may save the stress and disappointment of being out of work later on down the line.
