Book return prize draw

Help us fill our shelves again!

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, University buildings closed and thousands of staff and students left campus to begin working and studying from home. Many of us brought Library books home with us, too.

Throughout the last 15 months of lockdowns and travel restrictions, we have extended loan periods and waived overdue fines to ensure we didn't penalise our borrowers for following the rules and staying at home. Now that restrictions are easing and we're preparing for the next academic year, we need our books back!

Book return prize draw

To thank our students for looking after our Library books during the last year, we're running a prize draw for £200 of Amazon vouchers. All you have to do for a chance to win is return your Strathclyde Library books to us by the end of July!

The prizes

The available prizes are:

  • 1 x £100 gift voucher
  • 1 x £50 gift voucher
  • 2 x £25 gift vouchers

We'll identify four winners in August 2021. We'll contact the winners and send out prizes by email to their Strathclyde email address.

University staff are excluded from this draw.

To enter

Any current student who returns one or more books before the Library closes on Saturday 31 July 2021 will be entered in to the prize draw.

Any current student who has returned a book or books since 1 June 2021 will also be entered in to the draw.

Returning your books

You can return your books in person or you can post them to us free of charge.

You don't need your student card to return books. We have waived overdue fines, except in cases where your book/s on loan have been reserved by someone else.

See our webpage for more information about returning your books to the Library.
