The Library is assisting with a Covid-19 research project led by the Department of Architecture.
This project forms part of the National Core Studies established by the UK Government to support and accelerate the UK’s research response to the Covid–19 pandemic. The aim of the project is to collect real-world environmental and occupancy data in a range of different workplace settings.
The study will evaluate ventilation effectiveness and airborne pathways to identify risk factors in workplaces, using carbon dioxide levels to provide an estimation of airborne transmission risk. Tools will be developed, tested and refined to support the mapping of environmental conditions within a space to identify high-risk areas.
