Personalised Timetables

Your timetable for programmes starting in January and Semester 2 should now be available.

In order to see your personal timetable, three things must have happened:

  • You must have fully registered
  • You must have chosen your curriculum and have had your curriculum approved by your year advisor.
  • You must be allocated to your relevant modules/activities by your Department.  

While some of your online 'live’ activities in may appear on your personal timetables now, your full timetable may not be available until closer to the start of term and until the three things above have been completed.  Please make sure that you check your Strathclyde email regularly, as well as checking for updates via the Strathclyde App and Myplace.

Frequently asked timetabling questions

Before you see your personalised timetable, you must have:

  1. Completed registration;
  2. Had your module choices approved by your Department/Advisor of studies;
  3. Been allocated to your chosen modules by your Departmental Timetabling Co-ordinator.

Once you have completed registration, it may a few days for your individual timetable to become available.  If you still can’t see your lectures, 5-working days after you register, contact your department in the first instance.

If you have recently changed your module choices, it may take a few days for the changes to be reflected on your individual timetable.  In the meantime, you can view the timetables for individual modules online.

Note that some teaching activities (e.g. tutorials, labs and pre-recorded online activities) may not appear on your individual timetable.  Your department/school should have informed you of the details of these activities through other means.  If you think your activities are missing, check the module page on Myplace or contact your department/subject area.

If you have multiple accounts, make sure you are logged in to the account that has the timetable you want to view.

To check which account you have logged into, tap on the avatar at the top left of the home page. You can switch between accounts at any time.

If you have recently changed your module choices, it may take a few days for the changes to be reflected on your individual timetable.  In the meantime, you can view the timetables for individual modules online.

If you have undertaken any summer activities (e.g. STEM Summer School, pre-sessional English) or you are studying via distance learning, your current registration may overlap with your subsequent programme of studies.  As a result, Myplace is not able to display your timetable until the summer course terminates and your 2020-21 student record is activated.

As the App allows you to select which registration is active, it is able to display your personalised timetable in these cases.

If you have not undertaken a summer school course, you should contact your department in the first instance.

Once you register, it can take a few days for your individual timetable to be updated.  In the meantime, you can find your timetable online by programme or by individual moduleInformation on any online activities should be available on the relevant module’s Myplace page. 

Log in details for your ‘live’ online activities will be provided to you by your Department/Subject Area - normally on the module Myplace page.  If you are unable to find the log in details, you should contact your Department/Subject Area in the first instance.

Room allocations are subject to change.  Please check your timetable and Myplace for notification of changes to rooms/classes.

If you are in the right place at the right time, you should contact your Department in case there has been a last minute change to the class.  

As you may have been pre-allocated a lab or tutorial group (managed by your Department), or some activities may have been pre-recorded, you may not see all of your teaching activities on your individual timetable.  Your department/subject area should have informed you of the details of these activities separately and you should contact them with any queries.
