Our researchReal-time symptom assessment using the Advanced Symptom Management System (ASyMS) for patients with Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma (MPM): a feasibility study

This project aims to adapt a mobile phone-based system - Advanced Symptom Management System - also knowns as ASyMS for people with Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma (MPM) and to determine the feasibility and acceptability of integrating ASyMS into oncology care delivery. The mobile phone ASyMS enables the real-time symptom monitoring and management of patients. This is a prospective cohort study using mixed-methods design and an Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) framework. Patients and clinicians from four clinical sites (two in Scotland and two in England) are involved in the study which runs from Jan 2017 until September 2018.
