The IUCN Academy of Environmental Law Series is published by Edward Elgar and includes volumes stemming from each annual colloquium of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law. An edited collection will be published including contributions from authors presenting at the 2018 edition of the Colloquium. Presenters whose abstract has been accepted and who are interested in contributing to the edited collection should consider the following timeline:

  • November 2018 (TBC) – submission of chapter
  • December 2018 (TBC) – notification of whether the paper will be included in the edited collection stemming from the Colloquium

Papers should follow the style guidelines provided by the publisher.

The colloquium will feature a large number of presentations and it will not be possible to include all of them in the Edward Elgar book. We are hence talking to a number of journals to consider special issues based on papers stemming from the colloquium. An agreement has been reached with the journal Carbon and Climate Law Review for a special issue of this type. Innovation, technology and opportunities and risks arising therefrom to secure resilience is a hot topic for climate change and the Colloquium will bring together exciting and interesting discussions that will be captured by the journal’s special issue.
