International Water Resources Association (IWRA)

SCELG has collaborated with the International Water Resources Association (IWRA), a global non-profit membership organisation dedicated to education and to bridging disciplines in the water sector in order to find practical and sustainable solutions to the world's water issues. In January 2016 Renee Martin-Nagle began serving a three-year term as elected Treasurer of IWRA.

At IWRA's last World Water Congress in Edinburgh in 2015, several SCELG members gave presentations, including Dr. Francesco Sindico, Stephanie Hawkins and Renee Martin-Nagle.

In addition, on March 22 2016, SCELG collaborated with IWRA, the University of Dundee and the Scottish Government to produce a seminar commemorating World Water Day that was live-streamed to a global audience. Renee Martin-Nagle served on the planning committee for the event and chaired a panel that discussed integrated water resources management. In May 2017 IWRA will host its XVI World Water Congress in Cancun, Mexico, with a focus on bridging science and policy.
