Beatrice Colin writes fiction set in the past. She has published four novels for adults, and her fifth, To Capture What We Cannot Keep, will be published in late 2016/17.
Her work has looked at the rise of the German film industry, 'The Luminous Life of Lilly Aphrodite' (2008), Jazz Age New York and the Red Scare in 'The Songwriter' (2010) and the legacy of the Russian Revolution in 'Nude Untitled' (2001).
Her new novel is set against a backdrop of Paris in the 1880s and the construction of the Eiffel Tower.
Beatrice's novels have been shortlisted for several awards including:

- Saltire Awards
- Scottish Arts Council Book Awards
She is currently working on a novel which features a Scottish plant hunter.
