Personal statement

I am a lecturer in the Department of Marekting. Prior to joining the University of Strathclyde in 2012, I worked as a researcher and an industrial fellow overseas and in the UK. My work relates mainly to  R&D-marketing integration in product development and the study of cultural aspects of multidisciplinary and multinational design education. My research interests include product development, innovation management, teamwork and cross-functional integration in product development projects. My teaching focus is on Advances in Integrated Marketing Communications.

Teaching

My teaching focus is on Integrated Marketing Communications and International Marketing Strategies and Management on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. I have also taught in design education, where my focus was on the role of marketing in product development processes.

Research interests

My main research focus is on development of bespoke product development and business models for high-tech and heavy manufacturing companies. I am curently the principal investigator in a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project with Howden, where we aim to customize product development for their fan range. Next to the management of innovation and product development processes, my research also deals with cross-functional integration in product development and collaboration in virtual design teams.
