Personal statement

Mijoh recently joined the Department of Management Science as a Teaching Associate. He obtained a Master’s degree in Supply Chain and Operations Management from the University of Strathclyde after his first degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering at the Lagos State University. His research interests link Operations and Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Manufacturing, Information Systems and Business Solution Delivery. His PhD thesis focused on Simulation-based Impact Analysis for Sustainable Manufacturing Design and Management (A holistic approach that integrates the environmental, economic and social dimensions in an analytical model for effective sustainability decision-making).

 

Mijoh is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and prior to joining the University, he worked as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Derby where he completed his PhD. Mijoh has also worked in the Specialists’ Offices of HMRC and has over fifteen years of work experience in the Oil and Gas industry and Public Sectors. He was an IT expert and Logistic Coordinator at Geoservices (now Schlumberger) and IT Consultant for FMC Technologies.

 

Mijoh has given oral presentations of his research in both national and international conferences, and so far, has published in major sustainable development journals including the Journal of Cleaner Production and Sustainability Journal.
