Personal statement

I joined the University in 1988 and I'm currently a research officer in the Fraser of Allander Institute for Research on the Scottish Economy.

My research focuses on Scottish Business Surveys and I conduct the the Institute’s work on business surveys, including working the longest-running continuous business survey in Scotland. I contribute an overview of current business survey trends to each Fraser Economic Commentary.

    Business surveys

    • Planning surveys as projects, including determining survey content
    • Questionnaire design
    • Conducting and administering surveys (postal and electronic)
    • Producing and disseminating research results and statistics fronm the collected data.
