In line with National Obesity Awareness Week and the new Les Mills launches, Strathclyde Sport will be running several exciting events from 13th-17th January.
On Monday we start with a triple team teach launch of the new Body Attack release 107. Body Attack is a high energy, bodyweight exercise to music class. Expect great music, plenty of sweating and lots of fun with teachers Mario, Jonathan and Mario. On Tuesday join Cat for a lunchtime social walk. From 12.10pm-12.50pm meeting outside Strathclyde Sport, our social walk is suitable for beginners that will not only get you up and moving, but enhance your sense of community and participation at the University of Strathclyde. No booking is required and available for members and non-members.
On Wednesday our evening Body Pump class will be another triple team teach, with teachers Anne-Marie, Jonathan and Mario. Get ready to squat, bench press and tricep dip your way to a more toned and strong physique to the latest release from Les Mills, Body Pump 112. There will be a social jog on Thursday from 12.10pm-12.50pm. Our teacher Ross will be taking this session. Enjoy the route around the beautiful terrain surrounding the Strathclyde campus. Available to members and non-members, no booking required.
In addition to our social jog, our lunchtime Body Balance class will be team taught by Seona and Jacqui. New release 87 of Body Balance is suitable for all levels and for those looking to improve flexibility, suppleness and strength. On Friday join us for our lunchtime classes of Stretch & Flex or StrathActive MyRide. Stretch & Flex takes place from 12.10pm-12.50pm and is suitable for all looking to get moving and stretch off at the end of a busy week. Alternatively, our StrathActive MyRide takes place from 12.15pm-12.45pm and is a class for those looking to add cardio into any exercise routine. Suitable for all levels but focused specifically on beginners, you’ll enjoy the immersive experience of MyRide and burn calories along the way.
