CubeSats are micro-spacecraft that were developed as 10cm cubes weighing of no more than 1.33 kg. CubeSats offer the opportunity for relatively cheap access to space allowing new technologies to be tested quickly and students to get the opportunity to work on real space missions.

REXUS: StrathSat-R

StrathSat-R is a proposal by StrathSEDS to launch an experiment with the REXUS programme. This marks a first step for the StrathSat project.

StrathSat

The StrathSat project is the University of Strathclyde's first CubeSat programme. 

UKube 1 Thermal Analysis

StrathSEDS led the thermal analysis for UKube 1, which was the UK Space Agency's first CubeSat mission developed by Clyde Space and project managed by Astrium.

Suaineadh Project

The Suaineadh project is scheduled for launch in March 2012 as part of the REXUS programme. The project shall demonstrate the novel concept of using centrifugal forces acting on four corner masses to deploy a square web.
