30th Anniversary Art Exhibition

To celebrate 30 years of the Centre for Lifelong Learning Daytime Programme. We are running an art competition. Art has been the mainstay of our programmes since its beginning in 1987 and we are seeking entries which represent the vibrancy of our range of classes through the use of colour and subject.

Theme: Glasgow

Any medium can be used and any subject, but all entries must reflect Glasgow is some way. 

Competition Rules

  1. The competition is open to any student that is registered on a 2017/18 class at the Centre for Lifelong Learning.
  2. Any medium can be used and any subject however, all entries must reflect Glasgow in some way.
  3. There is no entry fee for this competition.
  4. There is no size restriction.
  5. If your painting wins an award in our competition and you wish it to be displayed at our Art Exhibition in March 2018 you will be required to incur the cost of framing your work. Please note, entries do not need to be framed. 
  6. You may only submit your own artworks. 
  7. Entries must be 'new' artwork completed in 2017/18. 
  8. The decision of the panel is final.

The winner and runner up will have pride of place at the new look CLL Art Exhibition in March 2018 and a prize of free classes for a year plus £50 vouchers for Cass Art will be on offer to the winner.  The runner up will receive one free CLL class.

Entries will be judged by a panel led by Gareth Reid, winner of the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2017.

Deadline for the submission of work is 5pm on 31 January 2018. Art Competition Form 2017-18
