Why did you choose to study at Strathclyde?

Kerrae Kerr, Professional Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) student

I chose Strathclyde as it's well renowned as being the best for education, preparing students to be the best and most knowledgeable teachers.

Why did you choose to become a teacher? What parts of the job are you most looking forward to?

The big question! It’s in me that I want to get the most from people, to let them see that the ability to push themselves beyond what they think they can, while passing on my pure love for science and our world. Most of all, to make sure every single student has the chance to be heard and that no student is ever left behind. Placement will be scary, but I am so ready for it and look forward to it the most!

What are you most looking forward to studying at Strathclyde?

All of it! I've been preparing for this course for a few years so I'm very excited to get stuck in!

What do you think of Glasgow?

Glasgow is extremely vibrant, and multicultural. I’ve always enjoyed days (and nights) coming through here and hope it continues.

What advice would you give to someone looking to study at Strathclyde?

Make sure you're always prepared, from classes down to making your own packed-lunch! Don’t be shy, introduce yourselves to others as everyone is so super friendly and all in the same boat. Get yourself as involved in the University as you possibly can from sport societies to being class rep. Every experience builds you as a person and helps develop you for the future. You never regret the chances you take, only the ones you don’t!
