MRes Studentship (Psychology and Product Design)

Eligibility

The post holder will be a UK/EU citizen, they will have, or will be on course for, a first class
degree in product design, psychology, or a related field, expertise with the E-Prime
programming software and/or Qualtrics would be beneficial.

Project Details

The University of Strathclyde is seeking to recruit an MRes student to undertake a research
project developed by the Department of Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering Development
(Dr. Andrew Wodehouse) and the School of Psychological Sciences and Health (Dr. David
Robertson).

The research project focuses on the interaction between facial imagery and product design. The
post holder will lead the project, which will involve lab-based testing and an online study
(Qualtrics).

In addition to the research project, the student will also be able to undertake 60 credits of MSc
modules across the duration of the project, and it is intended that this study will form the basis
of an application for AHRC PhD funding to support a more extensive line of research in this
area.

The post holder will be a UK/EU citizen, they will have, or will be on course for, a first class
degree in product design, psychology, or a related field, expertise with the E-Prime
programming software and/or Qualtrics would be beneficial.

The award covers tuition fees only, the studentship can be undertaken either on a full time or
part time basis.
