We offer a number of scholarships for our applicants joining postgraduate taught programmes in January 2023, as well as for our postgraduate research applicants joining the Faculty of Engineering in academic year 2022/23.
All self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders with strong academic qualifications are encouraged to apply. Please note - you must hold an offer to a full-time postgraduate taught degree programme starting in January 2023 before your scholarship application will be considered. If applying for postgraduate research programme you must start during the 2022/23 academic year.
If you're applying for a postgraduate taught degree programme, you'll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees, which will typically be £3,460.*
Applications for our Dean's International Excellence Awards are now closed, and successful applicants will be notified in due course.
If you're applying for postgraduate research degree programme, you'll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for each year of study. Postgraduate research degree applicants can apply year round for the scholarships.
* The amount varies for selected programmes with a different tuition fee, including programmes within Architecture & Biomedical Engineering.

The deadline for applications for the Dean’s International Excellence Award was 30 November 2022, and candidates will only be considered for the Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship (value: 15% of tuition fees) after this date.
Successful full-time PhD students will receive a scholarship equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for each year of study. Applications can be made year-round from postgraduate research applicants.
* The value of the postgraduate taught scholarship award is equivalent to a 15% reduction of your tuition fees for your first year of study. This is typically £3,460 for programmes with a tuition fee of £23,050. The amount varies for selected programmes with a different tuition fee, including programmes within Architecture and Biomedical Engineering.
