Future Judges Scholarship

The Future Judges Scholarship offers a merit based scholarship of up to £6000 for entry onto a full time LLM programme in the Law School.  The aim of the scholarship is to support students of outstanding merit wishing to undertake secondary LLM studies in order to qualify as a judge in Thailand. Students first LLM programme must have been undertaken at an institution which is approved by the Thai Judiciary.

The scholarship will be judged on a statement (1000-1500 words) which should clearly set out how you meet the eligibility requirements of the judicial examination upon obtaining an LLM from Strathclyde, your key achievements and your vision for the future.

Eligibility

To apply for a Future Judges Scholarship, candidates must:

  • Hold a first class degree or equivalent
  • Provide a statement (1000-1500 words) which should clearly set out how you meet the eligibility requirements of the judicial examination upon obtaining an LLM from Strathclyde, your key achievements and your vision for the future.
  • Be a national of Thailand
  • Be available to commence their academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2017

Number of Scholarships

One award confirmed, a possible second award may be available depending on the number of applications.
