McNaughtan Bursary

The Mcnaughtan Bursary was set up by a generous donation to the University to help students from a school of low progression into Higher education, Care Experienced Students and students coming from a college of Further Education. The bursary will pay £1250 in each year of study.

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration for an award, a candidate must be a student entering an undergraduate degree this academic session, and:

  • Be a care Experienced1; or
  • Be entering the University from an FE college; and
    Have a household income of £24,000 gross per year or less (as calculated by the relevant student funding body to which the student has applied for support); or
  • Be entering the University from a school with low progression to higher education 2; and
    Have a household income of £24,000 gross per year or less (as calculated by the relevant student funding body to which the student has applied for support).
