This scholarship is open to students from Nigeria only.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum Second Class Upper (2.1) in an Oil and Gas related field or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with oil and gas industry experience.
Applicants must also have completed their National Youth Service, be computer literate and be in possession of WASSCE/NECO English Language at Credit Grade.
Applicants must not be above 30 years of age.
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is an agency of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources in Nigeria. The PTDF was established in 1973 for the purpose of developing and promoting petroleum technology and to meet the manpower needs of the oil and gas industry through research and training of Nigerians.
The University of Strathclyde has been receiving PTDF Overseas Scholarship Scheme students for many years – over 30 PTDF students have completed their MSc studies at Strathclyde since 2010.
