Commonwealth Scholarships for the M.Sc. in Finance [University of Strathclyde] at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM) Tanzania

The M.Sc. in Finance at the University of Strathclyde offered in conjunction with the Institution of Finance Management (IFM) has been awarded a number of Commonwealth Scholarships to fund students taking the course at IFM.   The scholarships will be available for the part time (two years) course. These scholarships will be for courses beginning in September 2016 and will cover the fees for students living in the vicinity of Dar Es Salaam.  The scholarships will also cover the travelling and accommodation costs (for students from elsewhere in Tanzania or neighbouring Commonwealth Countries).    The part time course requires attendance at eight extended weekends of lectures at IFM.

Spotcap Fintech Fellowship

Running for its third consecutive year, the Spotcap Fellowship awards one UK-based master’s or MBA student with an £8000 scholarship. Launched in 2017, the initiative aims to encourage aspiring individuals interested in a career in financial technology. More than 40 accredited UK-based universities have supported the initiative, including the University of Strathclyde.

ICAS Foundation Bursary

The ICAS Foundation awards bursaries of up to £2,500 per year, to individuals whose parents or guardians earn under a certain threshold per annum. The bursaries aim to help alleviate the costs of studying and, for example, day-to-day living costs. Bursaries are available to secondary school students, college students or students already at university who are applying to study on an approved course, for example an accountancy or finance degree.

Individuals receiving an ICAS Foundation bursary are automatically enrolled in the ICAS mentoring scheme which aims to help young people to reach their fullest potential with the help and support of an experienced Chartered Accountant (CA).
