John Anderson Research Awards

Under the Strathclyde Research Studentship scheme the University awards around 70 PhD studentships annually for students commencing their postgraduate studies across all 4 Faculties; Business, Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences and Science. The funds are split between Research Excellence Awards (see below), Student Excellence Awards and John Anderson Research Awards. Students successful in the 2017/18 competition will commence studies in October 2017

The John Anderson Excellence Awards are awarded to students with a confirmed first class honours degree or Masters with Distinction (or equivalent)  within a relevant cognate discipline, with internal and external recognition and a proven commitment to the field of study. THERE WILL BE EARLIER DEPARTMENTAL/SCHOOL DEADLINES THAN THAT STATED BELOW.

Information for students applying to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) - please contact the relevant Postgraduate Research Director by 31 May 2017 with a 500-word research proposal, CV, and two academic references.
